What is tallow?
People have been using tallow for skin care for centuries. Simply put, it is melted down beef fat. Tallow from grass fed, grass finished beef has the highest beneficial nutrient content. It contains vitamins a, b12, d, e, and k.
Tallow is very compatible with the oil that our skin produces, and actually shares a similar biology. That’s one reason our skin can use it so effectively without clogging pores.
Tallow contains omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, which maintain the structure and barrier of our skin. Stearic acid and oleic acid are also found in tallow, which are softening, moisturizing, and regenerative.
